Action 40,000 information event

Talking to MPs, but how?

Digital exchange for those interested in the "40,000 activate their MPs" campaign

For the seventh time, various cultural policy associations are calling on all stage professionals to meet their political representatives to discuss the importance and conditions of the performing arts and cultural venues. The campaign is all the more urgent in light of the current cuts at federal and state level. But how do you get into conversation with members of parliament, what are the relevant topics and what happens next? We would like to discuss these and other questions in a joint exchange via Zoom.

With THIS IS MY STORY, the "Action 40,000" invites all theater professionals to share their individual perspectives on the practice of their profession and the importance of culture in these times.

Since 2017, "Aktion 40.000" has established a new way of passing on information - from the grassroots to political representatives and their administrative level. This is because political decision-makers need to be informed about our working and living conditions in order to make the right decisions. There are many examples where these discussions have achieved positive results or prevented negative ones.

The major transformation issues of our time have become intertwined with the individual perspective on our professions and the relevance of culture as the foundation of a free democracy. That's why this year's theme is - THIS IS MY STORY.
