Against the cuts in the cultural sector: major demonstration #Berlinistkultur
We need you! The big demonstration on 13.11.24 from 10.00 a.m. in front of the Brandenburg Gate on Platz des 18.März is coming up, we want to draw attention loudly and creatively to the fact that the planned cuts are not an option for our cultural landscape!
You can recognize us by the pink action vests and can approach us and also get a pink vest from us. In this way, the GDBA will also be visually visible as part of the demonstration and you will also be recognizable as members.
We stand together in solidarity! We will not be driven into distribution battles! Let's set an example for a city that invests in its culture because it has understood this: Culture is not a "nice to have" in Berlin, it is the heart of the city.
Artistic contributions are expected from Constanze Becker, Katharina Thalbach, Alexander Scheer and Lars Eidinger, the union of the three Berlin opera choirs, the power of Terra Brasilis Power Percussion from the ufaFabrik Berlin and the Berlin State Ballet, excerpts from "Linie 1" by the GRIPS Theater as well as a closing with the Clubcommission Berlin e.V.. Speakerswill include directorHeinrich Horwitz, artistic director Oliver Reese as well as representatives of Zeitgenössischer Tanz e.V. and the Berliner Literaturkonferenz. We are delighted to have actor Jürgen Kuttner as moderator.

We would also be delighted if you would support the demo as stewards. Helpers are urgently needed, especially for the set-up from 6.00 am. If you can imagine doing this, please send us an email to basbebb@gdba.de.
